Guidance and tools for sharing good practice in out-of-hours (OOH) care for cancer and palliative care patients.

Through collaborative work with patients, carers, professionals and provider services, we have highlighted four main areas of importance:

  • Communication and co-ordination of care between patients, carers and all organisations involved in care.
  • Integrated working and access to medicines, including access to controlled drugs.
  • Education resources addressing the needs of the increasingly diverse professionals providing OOH care.
  • Resuscitation guidance and policies.
