Resources for volunteers involved in Macmillan's Telephone Befriending service.
During this unprecedented time, we are unable to provide face to face support to people with cancer due to the threat of the virus COVID-19. People living with cancer have been advised to into a period of isolation as they are particularly vulnerable to the effects of the crisis.
This can be a lonely time and Macmillan is responding by creating a national befriending service over the phone.
By keeping in touch with someone over the phone during the coming weeks, you'll be making sure that they have someone to talk to, who will listen and signpost to key information at this difficult time.
