A patient suffering from a serious infection spent nine hours in a hospital storeroom because wards were full.

He was repeatedly disturbed by nurses going to retrieve supplies, and although the room was referred to as a treatment room; it had no windows and only bright lights. The patient was given a complaints form as soon as he was admitted.
