Provides health and social care professionals with the skills to identify and signpost cancer carers to support

Who is this site for?

This site is for health and social care professionals who have contact with family members and friends who are looking after loved ones with cancer. The sites provides key information and guidance to identify these carers and signpost them to support.

What is on this site?

This site covers a range of topics including

  • learning modules on the number and experiences of cancer carers in the UK
  • guidance on identifying cancer carers and signposting them to support

The focus of this toolkit is on the experiences of carers of people living with cancer and the support available. Although the toolkit does not look at the experiences and support available for carers of people with other conditions, much of the guidance is transferrable.

This toolkit will help you to:

  • better understanding of the impact of caring for someone with cancer and barriers to identifying as a carer
